Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Quizlyne, an exam practice and training management platform operated by Seratlas Group ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a school or company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.

What the service is

Quizlyne takes question material that you already own or license, structures it with the help of automated extraction, and delivers it to your learners as online practice tests under your own branding.

We do not supply exam content. Quizlyne includes no question bank of its own. Every question your learners see is material you uploaded. This is a deliberate product decision and it determines how the rest of these terms allocate risk.

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping credentials confidential, and for activity under your account — including activity by instructors, administrators, and learners you invite. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

You must be at least 18 to hold an administrator account. Learner accounts may be created by a school for students under 18, subject to the section on student data in our Privacy Policy.

Your content, and who is responsible for it

You keep all ownership of the questions, papers, and other material you upload ("Your Content"). We claim no ownership of it.

You grant us a limited licence to host, process, adapt, and display Your Content strictly to operate the service for you — including sending it to the third-party AI provider described in our Privacy Policy. This licence exists only so the product can function, ends when you delete the content or close your account, and covers nothing else. We do not use Your Content to train AI models, and we do not sell it or share it with other customers.

You warrant that you have the rights to the material you upload. Because we supply no questions, you are the only party who knows the provenance of Your Content. Many licensing and certification exams are protected by copyright held by the awarding body, and uploading their items without permission may infringe those rights. You agree not to upload material you do not own or have a licence to use, and you accept responsibility for that determination.

If you believe material on the service infringes your copyright, email [email protected] identifying the work, the location of the material, and your contact details. We will investigate and remove infringing material, and we may suspend accounts for repeat infringement.

Acceptable use

Do not use Quizlyne to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, upload malware, attempt to access other customers' data, probe or overload our infrastructure, scrape the service, resell access without our agreement, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

We may suspend access without notice where we reasonably believe continued use would harm the service, other customers, or a third party.

Plans, payment, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, at the price shown at checkout. Payment is handled by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Prices may change, and we will give at least 30 days' notice before a change affects a renewal.

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals and your plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not give refunds for part-used periods unless the law requires it or we agree otherwise in writing.

A free pilot is provided as-is, requires no card, and may be limited or withdrawn at any time.

You can export Your Content before you cancel, and we encourage you to. After closure we delete or anonymise account data on the schedule in our Privacy Policy.

Availability, and what we do not promise

We work to keep Quizlyne available and to keep your data safe, but the service is provided as-is and as-available. Unless we have signed a separate written agreement with you, we do not commit to a specific uptime figure.

Automated extraction is imperfect. Questions produced from an upload require review by your instructors before you put them in front of learners, and the product is built around that review step. We do not warrant that extraction is accurate or complete.

We make no claim about exam outcomes. We do not promise, and nothing in our marketing should be read as promising, that using Quizlyne will improve pass rates or any other result.

Liability

To the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, for lost profits or revenue, or for loss of data beyond our obligation to maintain reasonable backups. Our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give reasonable notice by email or in the product, and continuing to use the service after they take effect means you accept them.

Either party may terminate at any time. We may terminate or suspend immediately for a material breach of these terms.
